The biggest question about camp is always "so what am I going to be doing all day?" With that in mind, a staff member recommended that we include a typical day's schedule here. While no two days are the same, and no two programs are the same, there are some things that everyone does, every day. Like meals, flag ceremony, unit and all-camp kapers, etc. Interspersed with the trivial everyday things is the all-important PROGRAM. Program is what makes the camp unique, and what keeps the kids coming back, year after year. Here is a typical day's schedule for a unit called Water Otters - a junior program, emphasizing water activities. Not every day would have a polar bear swim AND a floating lunch, but since this is a water program, it's possible. We try to schedule at least one arts & crafts session at ridge lodge with the A&C specialist, but any day may have art in the unit. Same goes for nature. Everyone goes to the Trading Post only once during the week, and there is usually an activity scheduled during that same time, since the trading post is rather small. Brownies would likely be in bed earlier, but juniors and cadettes generally stay up to about 10:00. Anyway, here's a day's schedule.
